The Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, convened an operational meeting this morning at the Farnesina with the heads of the Italian Trade Agency – ICE, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, Simest, and SACE, in view of the scheduling of the Decree-Law on Made in Italy.
The meeting made it possible to plan the next useful strategies to strengthen the internationalisation and export of Italian companies, leveraging the central role of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in public support for exports, since the Ministry has the task of guiding and supervising the Italian Trade Agency – ICE, administering the facilitated finance instruments managed by SIMEST, and co-chairing the Committee for public financial support for exports.
The Italian Deputy Prime Minister confirmed that “support for exports is one of the Italian government’s priorities”, and reiterated the centrality of “diplomacy for growth”, as promoted also through specific business forums during his missions, to support Italian products “through measures to support Italian companies, including those of subsidised finance, in favour of the trade fair sector, and those related to e-commerce and digitisation”.
