Minister Tajani will open today in Milan, at Palazzo Lombardia, the first of four preparatory events for the 2025 Ukraine Recovery Conference, focusing on private sector engagement.

More than 550 Italian, Ukrainian, and international companies will gather in Milan, alongside government and local authorities, international financial institutions, and development banks, with the aim of fostering the participation of our business and financial sectors in Ukraine’s reconstruction process.

The event aligns with the annual series of political meetings dedicated to Ukraine’s long-term recovery, which have been taking place since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale war of aggression.

The 2025 Ukraine Recovery Conference will be held in Rome on 10-11 July. In the lead-up to the conference, three additional preparatory events will be organised, focusing respectively on EU accession reforms, human capital, and local governance.

The event dedicated to society, civil engagement, and human capital is scheduled to take place in Kyiv on 2 April, coinciding with the meeting of the Steering Committee of the Donor Coordination Platform. The event focusing on EU accession reforms will be held in Brussels on 10-11 April. Italy, together with the European Union and Poland, in its capacity as the rotating EU Presidency, will organise the second edition of the EU-Ukraine Business Summit. The event dedicated to local governance is planned for May, with the goal of mobilising the participation of local authorities in Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction process.
