During the meeting, Cirielli reaffirmed Italy’s firm support for the European perspective of North Macedonia and the entire Western Balkan region.

During his visit to Kosovo, the Deputy Minister met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Glauk Konjufca. Together with Minister of Health Arben Vitia, the Deputy Minister visited the University Clinical Centre in Pristina where he unveiled a plaque dedicated to the Italian Cooperation’s long-term support for the healthcare facility. The state and prospects of cooperation projects were also discussed in a meeting between the Deputy Minister and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and the Italian civil society organizations operating in the country.

The mission ended this morning with a visit to the Italian contingent at the Multinational Specialized Unit (MSU) base as part of the NATO-KFOR mission, recalling Italy’s fundamental contribution to maintaining the country’s stability and security.
