The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Edmondo Cirielli, visited MBDA Italia’s production site in Pomigliano d’Arco today, on the occasion of the presentation of the company’s industrial hub in Campania.
The ceremony was attended by the Undersecretary of State to the Ministry of Defence, Hon. Matteo Perego di Cremnago, the local authorities and the heads of MBDA Italia and Leonardo.
During his visit, the Deputy Minister stressed that strengthening the national industrial and technological base is becoming increasingly important in a geopolitical context characterised by profound transformations, particularly for a country with a strong manufacturing and exporting vocation such as Italy.
Cirielli also recalled the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in supporting businesses, promoting collaboration between institutions, research, small and medium-sized enterprises and large industrial groups, including in strategic sectors such as defence, where Italy stands out as one of the productive and technological leaders at European and global level.
