Further 25 Palestinian students have left the Gaza Strip via the Kerem Shalom crossing, bound for Italian universities and AFAM institutions (Higher Education in Art, Music and Dance), as part of an operation coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
After completing the procedures for the issue of visas and travel permits, the students travelled on to the Allenby crossing on the border with Jordan, arriving in Amman on the evening of 14 September, where they were accommodated for the night at the Italian Hospital.
The transfer to Italy is scheduled for today on a Royal Jordanian commercial flight bound for Rome Fiumicino airport. On arrival, the students will be welcomed by representatives from their destination universities and AFAM institutions, located throughout the country, mainly in Central and Southern Italy.
Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said:“This is Italy’s concrete response: to continue assisting the Palestinian people and supporting the future ruling class, thus contributing to the country’s recovery and the building of solid institutions.” With today’s arrival, the number of Palestinian students admitted to Italian universities since September 2025 stands at 271.
