On the occasion of the second edition of Made in Italy Day, a special event dedicated to the excellence of Italian musical instrument craftsmanship was held on Tuesday, 15 April 2025 at the Italian Cultural Institute of Beijing. The event featured the official presentation of the new Fazioli F212 piano, recently acquired by the Italian Cultural Institute of Beijing, introduced with an inaugural concert.

The evening opened with welcoming remarks from the Italian Ambassador to China, Massimo Ambrosetti, followed by those of the Director of the Italian Cultural Institute of Beijing, Federico Roberto Antonelli. Paolo and Luca Fazioli greeted the audience with a video message.

Guest of honour for the evening was Jun Jin, a Chinese pianist residing in Italy, Professor at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and piano instructor at the Imola Piano Academy. An artist of remarkable stature, she has won the prestigious ECHO Klassik Award in Germany and the International Chopin Prize for Recording, has collaborated with some of the world’s leading orchestras, and was invited by Pope Benedict XVI to perform a recital at the Nervi Hall in the Vatican. In 2020, she was awarded the title of Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.

Her extraordinary performance offered the audience a vivid expression of Made in Italy excellence through the refined art of musical instrument making. At the same time, the hall of the Italian Cultural Institute was enriched by a photographic exhibition dedicated to the Fazioli brand, featuring 22 images that encapsulate its history and origins. Founded in 1981, the prestigious Italian brand Fazioli, based in Sacile, in the province of Pordenone—an area renowned for its long and distinguished tradition of wood craftsmanship—has quickly established itself internationally as a producer of exceptional quality, thanks to the exquisitely artisanal nature of its instruments.
