Undersecretary Manlio Di Stefano spoke today at the opening of the webinar “The frontiers of e-commerce”. Today’s webinar is first of a new cycle organised by the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and dedicated to sectorial themes for the support of Made in Italy. The event follows the successful geographical cycle “Direct Markets” which saw almost 17,000 companies registered.
“I am convinced,” said the Undersecretary, “that this new format will demonstrate that we can create an innovative system and have a tangible impact on our production sectors. The format will raise companies’ awareness and turn the current crisis into an opportunity.
“It’s no coincidence that this new round of webinars starts with e-commerce. E-commerce is one of the six founding pillars of the “Pact for exports” signed by Minister Di Maio together with stakeholders and representatives of the various Italian production sectors, on the 8 June. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is fully aware of the need for our companies to evolve towards increasingly innovative forms of production/sales, with an emphasis on digitisation”.
Others will follow today’s webinar on topics such as the future of trade fairs, large-scale distribution in France and Germany; non-tariff barriers; Intellectual Property protection; international financing opportunities. More information can be found on: www.ice.it/it/riparticonice-approfondimenti
