- Speech by the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella
- Hymn of the Accademia Chigiana
The national anthem in a single voice. The initiative involves 108 musicians gathered by the Accademia Chigiana of Siena, the historical reality of Italian musical excellence, for a special remote performance of our national anthem, the “Canto degli italiani” by Goffredo Mameli. Together with the musicians, students, teachers and collaborators of the Academy, great names of international classical music such as Salvatore Accardo, Bruno Giuranna, Antonio Meneses, David Geringas, Alessandro Carbonare, Pino Ettorre, Luca Sanzò, Francesco Dillon, Matteo Cesari, Paolo Ravaglia, Giulio Rovighi and the Nous Quartet will also participate.
- Ebook “The (in)visible Squares”
The event, curated by Marco Delogu, tells the story of 21 Italian squares – a symbol of our historical and cultural heritage and the collective identity of our country – through the eyes and words of outstanding authors such as Olivo Barbieri, Luca Campigotto, Michele Cera, Alessandro Dandini, Eva Frapiccini, Raffaela Mariniello, Edoardo Albinati, Liliana Cavani, Nicola Lagioia, Helena Janececk, Sandro Veronesi and many others. The publication proposes an evocative journey into the beauty of the Italian Squares, photographed between the end of March and the beginning of May, in a moment of isolation and “suspension”, accompanied by writings of memory, suggestions and reflections.
The edition of the eBook created for the National Holiday is a preview of the greater project that will be presented in the coming weeks.
