Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Marina Sereni had a telephone conversation today with Saudi Arabia Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Al Jubeir.
Ms Sereni and Mr Al Jubeir reaffirmed the excellent state of bilateral relations and the will to continue the political, economic and security cooperation between the two countries. Riyad is a very important commercial partner for Italy, which boasts a consolidated presence of large national companies in the Kingdom, and also a political interlocutor of great importance for the role it plays in the Middle East. For these reasons, the Vice Minister stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation in both fields through the work of the Joint Italian-Saudi Commission, which will meet in the coming months and which will mark a revival of cooperation in all sectors, including scientific and cultural.
