“The Deputy Foreign Minister Manlio Di Stefano, and German Economy and Energy Deputy Minister Ulrich Nussbaum sent a joint letter to the major trade fair associations in their two Countries: Associazione Esposizioni e Fiere Italiane (AEFI), Comitato Fiere Industria (CFI) and Ausstellungs- und Messe-Auschuss der Deutsche Wirtschaft (AUMA).
The intention behind the letter is to call on the Italian and German trade fair associations, to encourage coordination on common matters as well as collaboration in other Countries, as the world gradually comes out of the pandemic emergency.
“The Italian and German trade fair associations,” said Deputy Minister Di Stefano, “are the two leading such associations in Europe, as well as being fourth and third in the world respectively. We are convinced that they represent an irreplaceable driving force for our exporting companies. This very difficult period that has seen more than a year of cancellations and remodulation of important events, must be looked at together when planning the upturn, because the trade fair sector in Europe and with it our economic system, can only benefit from a joint relaunch.”
This letter follows on from a series of meetings held last October during Deputy Minister Di Stefano’s mission to Berlin, and subsequent coordination between the two Ministries.”
