Afghanistan; Sereni chairs the Coordination Panel

Yesterday Deputy Minister Marina Sereni chaired the second meeting of the Coordination Panel on Afghanistan with representatives of civil society organisations, local authorities, and the other administrations involved. At the centre of the discussion was an examination of the humanitarian situation and the identification of priorities with a view to programming the allocation of resources. In particular, it was decided to activate two technical groups with the task of better preparing the discussions of the Panel with regard to the needs of humanitarian assistance  and the prospects for Afghan citizens in the neighbouring countries.
