Literary conversation between Pap Khouma and Mohamed Mbougar Sarr, winner of the Goncourt Prize 2021 with the book “The most secret memory of men”

The conversation, set up by Fondazione Aurora during the “Più Libri, Più Liberi” event of small and medium publishers, follows the International Conference on African Literature, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Africa Day 2022, which both authors attended. It is a literary dialogue between two authors who, while sharing the same ancestry, represent two countries (France and Italy) and two different literary generations, and use their works and choice of literary language (Italian-Wolof and French) to create new levels of interconnection between distant worlds.

In this conversation, the two authors share their new cultural interpretations and nuances regarding African literature.
