Belgrade, 21-22 March 2023: Italy-Serbia Business and Science Forum

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Trade Agency – ICE are organising the “Italy-Serbia Business and Science Forum”, which will be held in Belgrade (Serbia) on 21 and 22 March 2023. The event, which will be inaugurated by the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Tajani and President of the Republic of Serbia Vučić, is intended to mark, also symbolically, the beginning of an even more dynamic phase in the economic relations between the two countries, which are already excellent and in continuous development. Speeches by Italian and Serbian institutions and financial entities, sectoral round tables dedicated to green and energy transition, sustainable agriculture and agri-tech, and infrastructures, as well as BtoB meetings between companies are planned.

Italy is Serbia’s third largest trading partner, with a constantly growing trade interchange (more than EUR 3 billion in January-October 2022) and also boasts more than 1,200 companies with Italian capital. Serbia has started a process of transition from ‘labour intensive’ to high-tech production, which opens up interesting opportunities — in both traditional and more innovative sectors — for the Italian supply of technologies, know-how and capital goods, as well as for companies interested in industrial and technological partnership agreements.
