The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has kicked off the Italy-UK Young Leaders programme in Rome – a project set up with the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Italian and British governments in London in April 2023 to increase the connections between the new generations of the two countries and build the leaders of the future.
The ten young people selected for 2024 will remain in Rome until Friday and will visit, among others, the Crisis Unit, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs contemporary art collection, the Parliament and the ESRIN (European Space Research Institute) headquarters in Frascati. They will also take part in the Pontignano Forum organised by the British Embassy at Villa Wolkonsky in Rome.
Last October closed the call for the selection of participants for the 2025 edition of the programme, selected by the Italian Embassy in London and the British Embassy in Rome. The winners will be announced in Venice in January 2025 by the Italian Ambassador to the UK, Inigo Lambertini, and his British counterpart.
