ANNOUNCEMENT FOR EDITORS-IN-CHIEF Italo-Russian 2+2 Foreign-Defence Ministerial Meeting (Villa Madama, 6 August 2013)

The Italo-Russian 2+2 Foreign-Defence Ministerial Meeting will take place at Villa Madama in Rome on Tuesday 6 August 2013. Representing Italy will be Minister for Foreign Affairs Emma Bonino and Defence Minister Mario Mauro; participating on behalf of Russia will be Minister for Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov and Defence Minister Sergei Shoygu.

The meeting’s agenda includes the following press moments:

· Arrival of the Foreign and Defence Ministers (11:00)

· Family Photo (to follow)

· Round Table at start of Plenary Session (12:10)

· Press Conference with Foreign and Defence Ministers (14:30 approx.)

Journalists and camera operators interested in covering the event are asked to apply for accreditation no later than 16:00 on Monday 5 August 2013 by completing the interactive form available at the link to which all required documentation can be attached in digital format.

If in exceptional cases it is not possible to complete the online accreditation procedure, applications in writing on company letterhead and signed by the director of the organisation concerned—indicating name, surname, date and place of birth, number of a valid ID document and qualification—should be sent by fax to the Press Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (tel. 063691.3432 fax 06.3691.2122).

Accredited members of the press are asked to report at the rear entrance to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in via della Macchia della Farnesina according to the following schedule:

Camera operators and photographers from 9:15 to 10:00 (to cover arrivals, family photo and Plenary Session round table);

Journalists from 13:00 to 13:45 (for the press conference).

Since Villa Madama is closed to private vehicles, a shuttle service will be running between the foreign ministry and the villa from 9:15 to the end of the event.
