The third edition of “Integrity Day” will be held at the Farnesina, in the Aldo Moro Hall, on Friday 6 December 2013.
Foreign Minister Emma Bonino will open the event at 09.30.
Integrity Day is an event envisaged by the Foreign Ministry’s Three-Year Plan (2012-2014) for Transparency and Integrity. “Integrity” here stands for the safeguarding, by the Administration and its employees, of the efficiency, impartiality, independence and confidentiality of the MFA’s institutional activities.
Important aspects of integrity in this respect are relations between politics and the administration; the absence of vested interests on the part of management and staff and the quality of their professional commitment; relations with external parties in the private sector; audits of the Ministry’s administrative and accounting work; and the protection of the image of Italy and of its government. The aim is to raise awareness of these issues among staff and citizens.
Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the event should send their accreditation application, on their media organisation’s letterhead, by fax or email to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (fax 06/3691.7193 – tel. 06/3691.3432).
Accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews should enter the Ministry by the main entrance (left-hand side) from 09.00 onwards.
