At 10:00 on Wednesday 29 January 2014, the conference “Parliamone: l’italiano come risorsa” (Let’s talk about Italy as a resource) will be held at the foreign ministry in Rome.
Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs Mario Giro will open the conference, followed by the speeches of Under-Secretary of the Ministry of University and Research Marco Rossi Doria and Minister for Cultural Assets and Activities and Tourism Simonetta Giordani.
During the meeting, whose participants will also include Dacia Maraini and Serena Dandini, data will be presented on the teaching of Italian abroad, the results of the 13th Italian Language Week in the World and the creation of an association of former students of Italian courses abroad.
Journalists and camera operators interested in covering the event are asked to apply for specific accreditation using the online accreditation system available at http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp, to which all required documentation can be attached in digital format (letterhead note from the home press organisation, note verbal issued by the Embassy on Rome of the home country of the organisation).
