The Directorate General for Development Cooperation (DGDC) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC) is organising a meeting to discuss Italian cooperation with Iraq. Topics include support for agriculture and the protection of the cultural heritage.
The meeting, which will take place at the Cascina Triulza on Thursday 10 September 2015, is part of the programme of events organised for EXPO Milan and the European Year for Development.
Speakers will include Hussain Al-Shahristani, Iraqi minister for Education and Scientific Research; Mahdi Al-Kaisey, Deputy Minister for Agriculture; Giampaolo Cantini, Director General for Development Cooperation at the MFAIC; and Alberto Tesi, Rector of the University of Florence. Ilaria Borletti Buitoni, Under-Secretary of State at the Ministry of Cultural Assets and Activities and Tourism, will present the concluding remarks.
