Accreditation Notice: “Including Disability in Development Cooperation: Experiences of Collaboration between Governments, NGOs and DPOs” (Farnesina, 18 November 2015)

The “Including Disability in Development Cooperation” conference will take place at the Farnesina on 18 November 2015, organised jointly by the Directorate General for Development Cooperation and the Italian Disability and Development Network. The conference will be opened by the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mario Giro, and is intended for the representatives of all the institutions and civil society bodies working to include the disability dimension in development programmes and policies.

The aim is to provide an opportunity to work jointly and exchange practices where appropriate, and to underscore the added value provided by cooperation agencies, institutions, non-governmental organisations and Organisations for People with Disabilities (OPDs)

Participants will include the UN Department for Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) and EUROPEAID, numerous European cooperation agencies and the principal OPDs and NGOs working in this field.

Proceedings will be closed by the Director General for Development Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Gianpaolo Cantini.

–       attach all required documentation (if not already submitted) to the form, in digital format

–       for foreign journalists in Italy: a note verbale issued by the Embassy in Rome of your media organisation’s country.
