ACCREDITATION NOTICE: Presentation of Human Development Report (Farnesina 15 December 2015)

At 11:00 on Tuesday 15 December, the Farnesina will host the presentation of the UNDP’s “Work for Human Development” report.

The report deals with the concept of work as a decisive factor in human development, in not only material ways but also with regard to social and cultural growth. Within the context of continuing evolution toward globalisation and digital revolution, the report calls upon nations to forge policies that foster sustainable, inclusive and dignified work, in line with the SDG 8 of the 2030 Development Agenda recently adopted by the United Nations.

The event will be moderated by journalist Duilio Gianmaria, and participants will include Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary General within the UN Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) Antonio Vigilante, Professor of Economic Statistics of the University of Rome Tor Vergata Enrico Giovannini and the Farnesina’s Director General for Development Cooperation Giampaolo Cantini.  

Online accreditation system. Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the event should:

– attach all required documentation (if not already submitted) to the form, in digital format

Required documentation:

– a letter from your media organisation

– for foreign journalists in Italy: a note verbale issued by the Embassy in Rome of your media organisation’s country.

If you are unable to complete the online accreditation procedure, please send your application by fax, on your media organisation’s letterhead, to the Foreign Ministry’s Press and Institutional Communication Service (tel. 06/3691.3432-8573-8210).

Accredited members of the press will be admitted at the main entrance to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – left side – from 10:30 onward.
