SERVICE NOTICE FOR EDITORS-IN-CHIEF – “SMALL GROUP” Ministerial Meeting of the Global Coalition to counter Daesh/ISIL (Palazzo della Farnesina, 2 February 2016) Update

On Tuesday, 2 February at 9:30 a.m. the Ministerial Meeting of the Global Coalition to counter Daesh/ISIL will be held at the Palazzo della Farnesina in a “SMALL GROUP” format (formed by 23 Countries + European Union, as contained in the list).  

The meeting will be co-chaired by Minister Paolo Gentiloni and by the United States Secretary of State, John Kerry. The meeting will also be attended by the United States’ Special Presidential Envoy for the Coalition, Brett Mc Gurk.

At the end of the meeting, the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Paolo Gentiloni, and the U.S. Scretary of State, John Kerry, will hold a joint press conference.

The following highlights are scheduled for the press:

  •        9:30 a.m.  round of the table photo opportunity at the beginning of the meeting (only for cameramen and photojournalists)
  •        3:00 p.m.  Gentiloni – Kerry joint press conference

The journalists, cameramen and photojournalists interested in following the event are requested to apply for online accreditation by filling the interactive form at the link http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp, attaching thereto, unless already provided, the information requested in digital format (letter of the media of belonging and, for representatives of foreign media, a third-person note released by the Rome Embassy of the Country to which the media represented belongs) by and no later than 1:00 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 1.

Should it result impossible to carry out the accreditation online, applications can be sent by email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s Institutional Press and Communication Service at the following address: accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. + 39 06/3691.3432 or 8573 or 8210).

It is hereby notified that on the day of the event (2 February 2016) new accreditation requests and/or substitutions will not be accepted.

The representatives of the accredited media will be able to access the Palazzo della Farnesina from the back entrance on Via Macchia della Farnesina in the following time slots:

 from 07:30 to 8:30 a.m. for round of the      table photo opportunity

 

(only cameramen and photojournalists)      

  • from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m for the press      conference

 

(journalists, cameramen and photojournalists)

Notice: for logistic reasons it could be necessary to form groups of cameramen and photojournalists. 

WAYS OF ACCESS TO PALAZZO DELLA FARNESINA  

We hereby inform that Via Macchia della Farnesina will be closed to traffic on Feb. 2.

The representatives of the accredited media will be allowed to drive their vehicles to the Ministry’s right-hand-side parking lot (on the Ponte Milvio side), passing through the gate at the crossing between Viale Antonino di San Giuliano and Piazzale della Farnesina.
