Reminder – ACCREDITATION NOTICE – Italy-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation (Farnesina, 13 June)

On Monday, 13 June, at 9:30 a.m., the Farnesina will host the 4th session of the Italy-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. The meeting will be opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Paolo Gentiloni and will be co-chaired by the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Benedetto Della Vedova and by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy, Natig Aliyev.

The morning plenary session will be open to the press. The session will be attended, on the side of Azerbaijan, by the Minister of Energy, the Deputy Ministers of Economy, Finance, Labour, Youth and Sport and representatives of several more ministries (Foreign Affairs, Agriculture, Culture and Tourism, Education and Health) and State Agencies (Renewable Energy Sources, Maritime). In representation of Italy will be officials of the Ministry of Economic Development (MISE), the Ministry of Agricultural Policies (MIPAAF), of the Italian Strategic Fund (FSI), the CDP (Cassa Depositi e Prestiti), SACE (Servizi Assicurativi per il Commercio Estero) and SIMEST (Società Italiana per le imprese all’estero).

The plenary session will be closed by Cabinet Undersecretary, Claudio De Vincenti, and with the co-chairmen signing of a joint statement of the Intergovernmental Commission.  

Following the signing ceremony, which will be open to the press, the two Co-Chairmen, Mr Della Vedova and Mr Aliyev, could make further statements.

Accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews should enter the Ministry from the main entrance– left-hand side – from 8:45 a.m.
