On Wednesday 2 November at 11:00 am, the Farnesina will host the first Ceremony for the awarding of the “Rita Levi-Montalcini Prize for scientific cooperation between Italy and Israel”. Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), Paolo Gentiloni, and Minister of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR), Stefania Giannini, will participate in the event.
The Prize, promoted by MAECI and Fondazione CRUI for Italian Universities in agreement with MIUR, is designed to strengthen scientific cooperation between Italy and Israel.
Professor Itamar Procaccia of the Israeli Weizmann Institute of Science will be awarded the prestigious prize. “La Sapienza” University of Rome will host Professor Procaccia for a period of teaching and studying, during which he will conduct a scientific project in cooperation with a group of Italian researchers, headed by the internationally acknowledged physicist, professor Giorgio Parisi.
