ACCREDITATION NOTICE – Anniversary of the Lateran Treaty (Palazzo Borromeo, 14 February)

On Tuesday, 14 February 2017 the Italian Embassy in the Holy See (Palazzo Borromeo) will celebrate the anniversary of the Lateran Treaty and of the Agreement to amend the Concordat at the presence of top officials of the Italian State and of the Holy See.

The bilateral governmental meetings will begin at 4:15 p.m.

At the end of the official meetings, the Italian Embassy will host the traditional reception featuring a concert by the Sistine Chapel Choir and the “JuniOrchestra” of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, to be held in the adjacent Sant’Eugenio Basilica, with the attendance of cardinals, the heads of Holy See dicasteries, Italian Cabinet ministers, deputy ministers, undersecretaries and ambassadors accredited to the Holy See.

Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the event are requested to apply for accreditation in one of the following two ways:

–    by filling the interactive form at the link http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp, attaching thereto, unless already provided, the information requested in digital format (letter from the media organisation and, for representatives of foreign media, also a Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organisation’s Country) by and no later than 3 p.m. on 13 February.

–   by sending an email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s Institutional Press and Communication Service at the following address: accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (Tel. + 39 06/3691.3432 or 8573 or 8210), attaching thereto the letter of his/her media organisation (or press card) and, for members of the foreign press, a Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organisation’s Country.

– journalists, photographers and TV crews accredited for the meeting at Palazzo Borromeo, if they wish, can also attend the concert at the Basilica of Sant’Eugenio by using the same accreditation badge.

The required security controls shall only be performed at the Farnesina (Foreign Ministry).

This means that access to Palazzo Borromeo will not be allowed on private vehicles and that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will make available a shuttle service between the Farnesina (from the rear entrance on Via Macchia della Farnesina) and Palazzo Borromeo, access to which will only be authorised after passing the required security controls.

We repeat that journalists, photographers and TV crews will not be allowed into Palazzo Borromeo unless they receive prior accreditation according to the procedures listed above and unless they use the shuttle service.

Accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews are kindly requested to be at the rear entrance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on Via della Macchia della Farnesina, on Tuesday, 14 February at 1:45 p.m. by and no later than 3 p.m. (you are kindly requested to be extremely punctual).

The event requires compliance with an adequate dress code.

In case of live coverage, journalists and photo-journalists are kindly requested to provide the licence plate number of their mobile trucks and the names of TV crew members with a view to authorising them to operate exclusively outside Palazzo Borromeo (accreditamentostampa@esteri.it).
