PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTICE – Final MigraVenture Conference (Farnesina, 26 September, 2017)

On Tuesday, 26 September 2017 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. the Farnesina will host the final conference on the MIGRAVENTURE project –  “Risking together: an innovative model to share development in the private sector in Africa, thanks to the transnational competence and skills of the African diaspora.” 

The Conference brings together professional and institutional stakeholders to discuss the experience generated by the MigraVenture programme, funded by the Italian Cooperation Agency and sponsored by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in partnership with the Etimos Foundation, to promote the development of the private sector in Africa with the engagement of the African diaspora in Italy.

The morning session will focus on a new public-private partnership model designed to promote development in Africa and present the best companies led by African entrepreneurs, who are the protagonists of the MigraVenture programme. 

Luigi De Chiara, Head of the Office for Strategies, Global Processes and International Organisations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Federico Soda, Director, IOM Coordination Office for the Mediterranean, will open the event. Mario Giro, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will draw the concluding session.

Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the event are requested to apply for accreditation in one of the following ways:

 –    by filling the interactive form at the link http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp, attaching thereto, unless already provided, the information requested in digital format (letter from the media organisation and, for representatives of foreign media, also a Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organisation’s Country).   

 –   by sending an email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s Institutional Press and Communication Service at the following address: accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (Tel. + 39 06/3691.3432 or 8573 or 8210), attaching thereto the letter of his/her media organisation (or press card) and, for members of the foreign press, a Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organisation’s Country.

Accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews can enter from the main entrance of the Ministry, left-hand side, from 10:00 a.m.
