On Friday, 7 February 2020, at 10.30 am, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will host, at the start of the “Decade of Action” proclaimed by the United Nations, the event organised by the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development – AsviS – focusing on a comparison of the commitments undertaken by Italy and by the international Community to assess the progress and initiatives implemented in support of sustainable development, also in light of the orientations by the new European Commission.
The event will be opened by the General Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Elisabetta Belloni, whose welcoming address will be followed by an address by the President of the AsviS, Pierluigi Stefanini.
The event will also feature the presentation of the 2019 ASviS Report by the Spokesperson, Enrico Giovannini, followed by a speech by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Emanuela Del Re, illustrating Italy’s commitment to sustainable development.
Representatives of the foreign diplomatic missions in Italy, of the foreign institutes of culture, of the UN agencies and international organisations based in Italy will also be attending.
