Press Accreditation Note –joint press point of Min. Di Maio and Min. Baerbock (Villa Madama, Monday, 10 January 2022)

On Monday, 10 January, at 11:30 AM, the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, will meet the German Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock, at Villa Madama.

At the close of the meeting, the two Ministers will hold a joint press point.

In consideration of current regulation on social distancing, access will be allowed to only a limited number of media representatives and accreditation will be granted to: 1 journalist, 1 photographer and/or cameraman for every single media organization.

Because of distancing requirements, accreditation applications will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis and the ensuing confirmed accreditations will be the only ones to be given access to Villa Madama.

Those who have not received confirmation of their accreditation will not be able to attend.

To attend the event, it will be mandatory to carry:

  1. a Super Green Pass (a “reinforced” version of the certificate of vaccination or recovery from the virus);
  2. FFP2 mask.

Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in covering the press point are requested to apply for accreditation by 4:00 PM, Friday, 7 January, in one of the following two ways:

  • ONLINE, at the link https://portaleaccreditamento.esteri.it, attaching thereto the requested documentation in digital format (letter of his/her media organization and, for members of the foreign press, also a Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organization’s Country).
  • VIA E-MAIL to: accreditamentostampa@esteri.it, (Tel: +39 06/3691.3432 – 06/3691.8573), attaching thereto the aforesaid documentation.

It is hereby notified as of now that it will not be possible to accept new accreditation applications on the day of the event.

For needs connected to available spaces, not all accreditation applications could be accepted.

Only those who have received confirmation of their accreditation will be given access to the venue of the event.

Accreditation badges will have to be picked up in person at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, from the rear entrance on Via Macchia della Farnesina, on Monday, 10 January, from 10:00 to 10:45 AM only.

As Villa Madama cannot be reached on private vehicles, accredited journalists will be taken there by a shuttle service departing from Via Macchia della Farnesina (return trip) which will be operating until the closing of the event. Accredited journalists will have to comply with current legislation on social distancing after passing through the body temperature control and only if carrying a Super Green Pass (a “reinforced” version of the certificate of vaccination or recovery from the virus) and an FFP2 mask.
