On Thursday 17 March 2022, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic, Jean Yves Le Drian, will attend a meeting of the Council of Ministers at the invitation of the Italian Government, under the provisions of the Quirinal Treaty (Trattato del Quirinale).
At the end of the meeting, Italy’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, and his French counterpart will hold a joint press point at the Farnesina at 12:00.
Given the current legislation on social distancing, a limited number of media representatives will be allowed access: only one journalist, one photographer and/or one camera operator per newspaper or agency can be accredited. Considering the limited capacity of the press point room, a “salle d’ecoute” (listening room) will be set up for accredited press representatives once that capacity is exceeded.
The press point will also be streamed live on the YouTube channel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Given the limited space, only the first accreditation applications received, in chronological order, will be accepted, and only those applicants will receive confirmation of access to the Farnesina to attend the event.
Those who do not receive confirmation will not be admitted.
To gain access to the event, media representatives must show:
- a “super green pass”;
- an FFP2 face mask.
Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the joint press point should apply for accreditation by 17:00 of Wednesday 16 March, in one of the following two ways:
- ONLINE, at the link https://portaleaccreditamento.esteri.it, attaching the required documentation in digital format (letter from their media organisation containing their personal details, professional status and email address and, for members of the foreign press, also a Note Verbale issued by the Rome Embassy of their media organisation’s country).
- BY E-MAILto: accreditamentostampa@esteri.it, (Tel: +39 06/3691.3432 – 06/3691.8573), attaching the above-mentioned documentation.
Accredited media representatives can enter the Farnesina from the main entrance, left-hand side, from 10:45 until no later than 11:15, with due regard for the current legislation on social distancing, following a body temperature check and only if holding a super green pass and an FFP2 mask.
