PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE
THE DIGITAL MADE IN ITALY DAYS
Farnesina, 19 May 2023, 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.
On Friday 19 May 2023, the launch event of “Le Giornate del Made in Italy Digitale” (The Digital Made in Italy Days) will be held in the International Conference Hall of the Farnesina from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
Coinciding with Festa della Repubblica celebrations, the initiative, which is jointly promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Italian Trade Agency – ICE and Amazon, aims at supporting and enhancing Italian Made in Italy in the world with a special promotion involving thousands of certified Made in Italy products to be sold through special Amazon “virtual shop windows”, which will be active from 29 May to 2 June in 11 countries – Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Poland, Sweden, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan and the United Arab Emirates.
The event will be opened by the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, followed by speeches by the Italian Minister for Agriculture and Food Sovereignty and Forestry, Francesco Lollobrigida, and the Italian Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, who will speak via video-message.
The proceedings will continue with speeches by ICE President, Matteo Zoppas, and Amazon Vice President – Country Manager – for Italy and Spain, Mariangela Marseglia.
In the second part of the event, there will be a Round Table – moderated by SKY TG24 journalist Lavinia Spingardi, with the participation of Anna Bortolussi, General Manager of Marketplace Europe, Brand Owners and Seller Success Amazon Europe – in which space will be given to some interesting testimonies of companies that have successfully benefited from the Made in Italy showcases within the framework of the agreements between the Italian Trade Agency – ICE and Amazon.
The proceedings will be streamed live on the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation YouTube channel. For representatives of the Italian press:
- Copy of an identity document
- Letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter – copy of a professional card.
For representatives of foreign press organisations not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
- Copy of an identity document
- Letter from the newspaper of affiliation
- Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.
For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.
Accredited journalists, photographers and cameramen may enter the Farnesina from the main entrance, left side, from 9:00 to 9:40 a.m. on 19 May.
