PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE
Today, Tuesday 27 February, at approx. 3:30 p.m., Rocco Antonio Langone, Maria Donata Caivano and their son Giovanni, kidnapped in Mali on 19 May 2022, will arrive in Ciampino airport. The operation to free and repatriate the Langone family was made possible by the joint work of the Foreign Ministry’s Crisis Unit and the AISE.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Antonio Tajani, will welcome the Langone family.
Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in covering the event may apply for accreditation by sending a request by Tuesday 27 February at 2:00 p.m. to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06/3691-3432 – 8573-3078-8210), attaching the required documents ( letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation and, for representatives of foreign press organisations not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also Verbal Note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented). The request shall indicate the model and number plate of the vehicle with which they will reach the airport.
Accredited journalists and cameramen shall show up directly at Ciampino Military Airport, 31st Wing, no later than 2.30 p.m.
Submitting the above-mentioned personal data means authorising the use thereof in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 and the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) by the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the data controller, for strictly professional purposes and/or purposes related to the performance of the event in question.
