“I partenariati territoriali: il Bando per gli Enti Territoriali al servizio dello sviluppo sostenibile”

On Thursday 28 MARCH 2024 from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. the event “I partenariati territoriali Bando per gli Enti Territoriali al servizio dello sviluppo sostenibile”  will be held at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Farnesina), in the International Conference Hall.

The event will be opened by Italy’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Edmondo Cirielli. The President of the Lazio Region, Francesco Rocca, the President of the Emilia-Romagna Region, Stefano Bonaccini, the Undersecretary in charge of International and European Relations of the Lombardy Region, Raffaele Cattaneo, and the President of the Province of Terni, Laura Pernazza, will then take the floor. CRUI President Iannantuoni and Assafrica President Dal Checco will also be present.

The meeting aims to highlight the strategic scope of the call for proposals issued by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) for the allocation of funds to initiatives promoted by local authorities and civil society organisations, with a total budget of EUR 180 million – 85% of which will be allocated for interventions on the African continent, in the spirit of the Mattei Plan, and 60 million euros for territorial entities.

During the event, the role and experiences of Local Authorities in development cooperation activities and the Italian excellences present in the territories, such as universities, civil society organisations and enterprises, will be discussed.

The meeting will be streamed live on the Farnesina YouTube channel.

Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in attending the event may apply for accreditation by sending a request by Wednesday 27 March at 4:00 p.m. to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06 3691 3432 – 8573 – 3078 or 8210), attaching the following:

For representatives of Italian press organisations:

  • copy of an identity document
  • letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter – copy of professional identity card.

For representatives of foreign press organisations, not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

  • copy of an identity document;
  • letter from the newspaper of affiliation;
  • Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.

For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.

Accredited journalists, photographers and cameramen may enter the Farnesina from the main entrance, left side, from 1:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. on 28 March 2024.
