REMINDER PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE
IL 107MO GIRO D’ITALIA: L’ITALIA CHE CORRE – Farnesina, 26 March 2024
On Tuesday 26 March 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the event “Il 107mo Giro d’Italia. L’Italia che corre” (The 107th Giro d’Italia, an Italy that runs) will be held in the Sala Mosaici of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Farnesina).
The event will be opened by Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani. The President of RCS Urbano Cairo, the President of the Italian Trade Agency – ICE Matteo Zoppas, and the President of Confindustria-ANCMA Mariano Roman, as well as a number of companies representing the sector, sponsors of Giro d’Italia, and Italian champions will also take the floor.
The Giro d’Italia is not only a major sports event, but also an instrument of diplomacy and promotion of the Italy brand in the world, which narrates, through its protagonists, the sector’s supply chains, from the sports sector to the artistic and cultural heritage industry. Great attention will also be paid to the “made in Italy” communication campaign connected to the Giro, which, leveraging on the international exposure offered by the event, will also focus on innovation, technological research, environmental sustainability, health and inclusiveness.
The initiative is part of the economic-commercial, cultural, scientific and business internationalisation promotion strategy conducted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAECI) in synergy with the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and all the other players of the Italian economic system.
The event will be streamed live on the Farnesina YouTube channel.
