PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE
“ITALIAN SPORTS DAY IN THE WORLD”
(Villa Madama, 13 September 2024)
On Friday, 13 September 2024, at 11:00 a.m., Villa Madama will host the launch event of the First Edition of “Italian Sports Day in the World,” a new thematic event that will enrich the annual calendar of integrated promotion activities for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation offices abroad.
The event will feature speeches by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, and the Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi.
Participants will include Paralympic athlete Manuel Bortuzzo, the Head Coach of the Italian National Soccer Team Luciano Spalletti, tennis player Elisabetta Cocciaretto, and the Head Coach of the Italian National Baseball Team Mike Piazza.
Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in attending may apply for accreditation by sending a request by Thursday 12 September at 6:00 p.m. to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06 3691 3432 – 3078, 8210 or 8573), attaching the following:
For representatives of Italian press organisations:
- copy of an identity document;
- letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter – copy of professional identity card.
For representatives of foreign press organisations, not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
- copy of an identity document;
- letter from the newspaper of affiliation;
- Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.
For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.
Accreditation badges must be collected in person at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, entrance on Via Macchia della Farnesina, from 09:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
As Villa Madama is not accessible by private vehicles, accredited journalists will be transported to Villa Madama by shuttle service from Via Macchia della Farnesina (round trip), operational until the end of the event.
Submitting the above-mentioned personal data means authorising the use thereof in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 and the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) by the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the data controller, for strictly professional purposes and/or purposes related to the performance of the event in question.
