Italy-Ukraine Business Forum

Farnesina, 20 November 2024

 

On Wednesday, 20 November 2024 at 6:15 p.m. at the International Conference Room of the Farnesina, the plenary session of the Italy-Ukraine Business Forum organised by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine will be held.

The session, the only one open to the press, will be chaired by the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani, and will also include speeches by Ukrainian First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy Yulia Svyrydenko, by Italian Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso, by the President of the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) Matteo Zoppas, and by Italian Secretary General ad interim of the Ministry of Defence Luisa Riccardi. At the end of the session, a number of Memorandums of Understanding will be signed.

The Forum, which will be attended by many guests including representatives of the business world, leading financial institutions and trade associations, is a preparatory event in view of the Ukraine Recovery Conference to be held in Rome on 10 and 11 July 2025.

The Forum will feature a series of B2B and B2G meetings and thematic tables, held behind closed doors, which will take place during the afternoon and will focus on priority sectors for the reconstruction of Ukraine: metallurgy and critical raw materials, energy transition and renewable energy sources, defence industry, agro-industry and machinery.

Prior to the Plenary Session, a family photo opportunity open to camera operators will be held at approximately 6:10 p.m.

Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in attending the plenary session may apply for accreditation by sending a request by Tuesday 19 November at 6:00 p.m. to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06 3691 3432, 3078, 8210 or 8573), attaching the following:

For representatives of Italian press organisations:

  • copy of an identity document;
  • letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter – copy of professional identity card.

For representatives of foreign press organisations, not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

  • copy of an identity document;
  • letter from the newspaper of affiliation;
  • Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.

For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.

Accredited journalists, photographers and cameramen may enter the Farnesina from the main entrance, left side, from 5:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

 

 

Submitting the above-mentioned personal data means authorising the use thereof in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 and the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) by the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the data controller, for strictly professional purposes and/or purposes related to the performance of the event in question.
