PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE

9th WEEK OF ITALIAN CUISINE IN THE WORLD

Farnesina – 19 November 2024

 

On Tuesday, 19 November 2024 at 12:30 p.m., the International Conference Hall of the Farnesina will house the presentation event of the 9th edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World – an integrated promotion initiative aimed at enhancing the value of Italian food and wine abroad, thus supporting exports, internationalisation and incoming tourism flows.

The conference will be opened by Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani and Italian Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry Francesco Lollobrigida.

This will be followed by a panel discussion between qualified interlocutors of the Italian agricultural and industrial production chain, such as Italian Trade Agency, Confagricoltura, Coldiretti, Filiera Italia, Federalimentare, Tutto Food and Onfoods. During the event, the “Accademia della Cultura Enogastronomica Italiana” project, which is designed to promote Italy’s food and wine heritage abroad, will be illustrated, along with the collaboration programme involving the diplomatic-consular network and the Italian Cultural Institutes for the 2024 Week of Italian Cuisine in the World.

Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in attending the event in person may apply for accreditation by sending a request by Monday 18 November at 6:00 p.m. to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06 3691 3432 – 3078, 8210 or 8573), attaching the following:

For representatives of Italian press organisations:

  • copy of an identity document;
  • letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter – copy of professional identity card.

For representatives of foreign press organisations, not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

  • copy of an identity document;
  • letter from the newspaper of affiliation;
  • Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.

For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.

Accredited press may enter the Farnesina through the main entrance, left side, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

 

 

 

Submitting the above-mentioned personal data means authorising the use thereof in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 and the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) by the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the data controller, for strictly professional purposes and/or purposes related to the performance of the event in question.
