PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE
Italy-Korea Business Forum
(12 June – Hotel The Westin Excelsior, Rome)
The Italy-Korea High-Level Business Forum will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at The Westin Excelsior Hotel in Rome, in the framework of the State visit of the President of the Republic of Korea, Lee Jae-myung. The event is part of a strengthening of bilateral relations between Italy and the Republic of Korea, following Prime Minister Meloni’s visit to Seoul in January 2026, and represents a follow-up to the Business Forum held in Seoul in September 2025, attended by more than 170 Italian and Korean companies.
The meeting will focus on collaboration between the two countries’ major industrial groups in the following macro-sectors: advanced technologies, strategic industrial supply chains, aerospace and automation; energy, infrastructure and green transition; and high-potential industries such as agri-food, cosmetics, and consumer goods.
Korea is the third-largest market in Asia for Italian exports, driven by textiles and clothing, agri-food, mechanical engineering, and pharmaceuticals. Growth prospects are particularly concentrated in the high-tech sectors of logistics and shipping, energy and semiconductors, as well as biotechnology, where the Korean government is focusing its investment.
Introductory remarks by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, and the South Korean President, Lee Jae-myung, will be open to the press.
Remarks by ITA President Matteo Zoppas, Confindustria’s Vice President Giorgio Marsiaj, and their Korean counterparts are also scheduled.
Approximately thirty high-profile representatives from the business and association worlds, divided between Korea and Italy, will be present at the event.
Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in following the introductory remarks by both dignitaries shall submit their accreditation request by Thursday, June 11, at 4:00 p.m. registering through the link https://portaleaccreditamento.esteri.it and attaching the required documents.
