Media Access to the UN High-Level Week
(New York, 21-29 September 2026)
Journalists, photographers and cameramen – who do not already hold UN accreditation—who wish to cover the proceedings of the high-level week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York (21–29 September 2026) must obtain accreditation to receive an access badge to the UN Headquarters, in accordance with the following procedures:
Please send the following documents to press.italyun@esteri.it no later than Wednesday 9 September 2026:
- copy of passport;
- letter from the newspaper of affiliation;
- digital passport photo that meets the requirements listed at this link: https://www.un.org/en/media/accreditation/photospecs.shtml ;
- equipment list in English.
- address of the accommodation
- mobile phone number for contacts
Accredited members of the press will receive logistical information at a later date regarding badge pickup and access to the UN Headquarters.
