PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTICE
Conference of Scientific and Space Attachés and Agricultural Experts
‘From the Lab to the Market: Cutting-edge technologies for Italy’s prosperity’
(Reggio Calabria, 3–5 November 2026)
The Conference of Scientific and Space Attachés and Agricultural Experts will take place in Reggio Calabria from 3 to 5 November.
Every year, the Conference serves as a key opportunity to strengthen the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ ‘diplomacy of growth’ strategy. This year, moreover, the theme of scientific diplomacy and its integration into growth diplomacy is emerging as an underlying theme. The conference is, in fact, the first to be held following the reform of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which has emphasised the role of science in promoting innovation and technological progress and in forging international partnerships in this field.
On 5 November at 12.00 p.m., at the ‘Francesco Cilea’ Theatre, an official session will take place, featuring a speech by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani. Next to speak will be, amongst others, the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Maria Tripodi, and the Mayor of Reggio Calabria, Francesco Cannizzaro.
The session, which will conclude with the signing of the MAECI-CNR Protocol, will be open to the press in its entirety.
Journalists, photographers and cameramen wishing to attend the official session are kindly requested to submit an accreditation request by 4.00 p.m. on Wednesday 4 November, registering via the following link https://portaleaccreditamento.esteri.it and uploading the required documentation.
Those already registered on the online portal and who have received confirmation from the system may access their profile and select participation in the event.
Badges must be collected in person on 5 November, between 11.15 a.m. and 11.45 a.m., at the ‘Francesco Cilea’ Theatre (Corso Garibaldi, snc 89100, Reggio Calabria).
