Italian Ambassador, Davide La Cecilia, President of the national Confindustria Associative Internationalisation Technical Group, Edoardo Garrone, and representatives of a number of territorial offices led by the President of Confindustria Est Europa, Luca Serena, also contributed to the opening presentation of the President of Confindustria Ucraina, Marco Toson.
Many Italian business people and Ukrainian representatives had the opportunity to discuss emerging opportunities in the Ukrainian market, the potential for strategically important industries, and the challenges faced by the country to make further progress in implementing important structural reforms.
In his opening address, Ambassador La Cecilia said that “the presence of Ukraine in a Confindustria territory can give added value to the assistance and promotion already provided by the Embassy and the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) to support our business people in this stage of economic recovery. It is with strong hope that it will help relaunch bilateral economic relations and reduce that gap in perception still perceived by certain investors of the opportunities available”.
