Mayor Klitschko, for his part, said: ” Kyiv has launched an initiative to support Italy. Many of you have already seen that we have displayed Ukrainian and Italian flags along the Khreshchatyk street. Beginning today and for the next three evenings (Friday to Sunday), the facade of the Town Hall will be illuminated with the Italian flag as a sign of solidarity between our two countries in the fight against the pandemic that the whole world is currently facing. The situation in Italy is tragic. However, Italian doctors and the Italian Civil Defence are today showing real heroism in carrying out their professional mission. We want to express our support for Italy, our support for the Italian people.
