On the occasion of the centenary of the death of Amedeo Modigliani (1884-1920), the Italian Cultural Institutes in Sydney and Melbourne celebrate the artist from Livorno with two initiatives.
Montparnasse 19, a 1958 film directed by Jacques Becker about the last tragic days of the painter, will be screened online on 9 July.
The Modigliani: A Bohemian Life webinar is scheduled for 16 July, a lecture by the art historian Roberta Crisci-Richardson, which will recall the stages of Modigliani’s exceptional artistic career, from his native Tuscany to his Parisian years.
