“The fourth edition of “Barolo & Friends in Helsinki”, an event organised under the patronage of the Italian Embassy – and in strict compliance with measures to contain the risk of contagion – by “Consorzio I Vini del Piemonte (Piedmont Wines Consortium)” in collaboration with “Consorzio Tutela Nebbioli Alto Piemonte (Consortium for the protection of Nebbiolo grapes in Upper Piedmont)” took place on 25 August.
The event, hosted at the “Wanha Satama” exhibition centre and inaugurated in the presence of Ambassador Sergio Pagano, aims to help Piedmontese wineries to consolidate and identify new business opportunities in Finland, a growing and extremely attractive market for the export of quality wine. A tasting reserved for professionals in the sector (importers, distributors, media) was followed by sessions dedicated to wine enthusiasts and members of local wine associations, as well as in-depth “master classes” to promote the knowledge of the various Piedmontese wines.”
