The Italian Embassy in Oslo has published the new edition of the Practical Guide for Italian exporters to Iceland in the wines and spirits sector. Published in Italian free of charge, the Guide is part of the action to promote Italian exports to the Nordic countries.
Italy is the largest exporter of wines to Iceland: a small market, but one that is open to quality Italian wines at a medium-high price.
Aimed mainly at Italian small and medium enterprises, the Guide is intended to provide a framework to assist market orientation in Iceland: a consultation tool and starting point for understanding the Icelandic market, its characteristics (which are not straightforward) and its critical aspects: an operational support that can be used to plan international marketing and consignment.
A particular focus is dedicated to the public monopoly system for the importation of wine and spirits. Customs and import procedures are also highlighted.
The Guide is unique of its kind (similar publications prepared for Italian exporters are few and far between and are only available for purchase) and is filled with data and information relating to the export of ‘Made in Italy’ wine products to that small country.
