he Italian Cultural Institute and Co.As.It in Sydney, under the artistic direction of Chisari (the stage name of of Italian singer-songwriter Maurizio Chisari), are delighted to present Universi Paralleli, a concert dedicated to the legendary Italian singer-songwriter Franco Battiato.
The concert was conceived by Lillo Guarneri, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute. It will take place in the Auditorium of the Italian Forum Cultural Center in Leichhardt on 20 May, just a few days before the first anniversary of the artist’s death. This will be the first international tribute to Battiato outside Italy.
Chisari, who shares his Sicilian origins with Battiato, will perform a selection of his most iconic songs, accompanied by a string, piano and guitar quartet
