Ambassador Pasquale Ferrara, Director General for Political Affairs and Security at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, visited Tehran from 2 to 4 August for consultations with his Iranian counterparts.
Ambassador Ferrara met the Deputy Minister for Political Affairs, Ali Bagheri Kani, head of the Iranian delegation to the Vienna negotiations to revive the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, and other representatives of Iran’s institutions.
Their talks focused on the outlook for the negotiations currently under way on the nuclear agreement, with particular reference to those elements that remain open. The meetings also provided an opportunity to address key aspects of the bilateral partnership and recent developments in regional dossiers.
