Thanks to the Italian Embassy in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia is hosting its first exhibition on Caravaggio. The exhibition, focusing on the painting Mary Magdalene in Ecstasy and its restoration, will be open to the public until 30 June 2024 at the Genghis Khan National Museum.
This event is part of a significant moment of Italian cultural diplomacy in Mongolia, which encompasses areas of collaboration such as music, visual arts and cinema, also in view of next year’s 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The exhibition, with free admission, provides visitors with the opportunity to admire the original painting of Mary Magdalene in Ecstasy and to learn more about the different stages of its restoration, a true Italian excellence.
