The residence of the Italian Ambassador in Buenos Aires, Fabrizio Lucentini, was the stage for a historic celebration commemorating the first centenary of the Italian Embassy in Argentina. This exclusive event brought together some 200 distinguished guests, highlighting 100 years of the Embassy’s work in strengthening political, commercial and cultural relations between Italy and Argentina.
The event was attended by major political dignitaries, including Argentinian Minister of Foreign Affairs Gerardo Werthein, Argentinian Minister of Economy Luis Caputo, Argentinian Minister of Justice Mariano Cúneo Libarona and Argentinian Minister of Health Mario Lugones, senior executives from Italian companies in the country, members of the local Italian community, as well as prominent personalities from the world of entertainment, communication, culture and industry.
The celebration included a specially designed show to commemorate the centenary of one of the most emblematic testaments to the political, artistic, cultural, entrepreneurial and social ties between Italy and Argentina, a symbol of fraternity between the two nations. During the event, the Ambassador presented the Italian Embassy’s new book: L’Ambasciata d’Italia a Buenos Aires – Il libro dei 100 anni, which offers profound insights into the historical milestones of the Alvear Palace, from its construction to its designation as the seat of the diplomatic mission.
