On Saturday 16 May, at the Guanghui Art Museum in Chengdu, the exhibition “Timeless by Silvio Porzionato” was inaugurated, organised by the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing with the institutions of Chengdu and the Tianfu New Area district, with the support of the City of Palermo.
Attended by Consul General Fabio Schina, Councillor Alessandro Anello and over 200 guests.
Porzionato realised live the work “Anima Blu” (Blue Soul), donated to the city of Chengdu.
The exhibition, part of the “2026 Chengdu – European Culture Season”, confirms the excellent cultural relations between Italy and China. On display for the first time in mainland China, the exhibition comprises 22 paintings divided into three sections: the Blue Series, the Faces Series and the Time Code.
The Blue Series reworks icons of classical art with abstractionism and expressionism; the Face Series is inspired by people met by the artist, transformed into universal emotional icons; the Time Code collects one hundred paintings, from zero to ninety-nine years, as a human archive of time.
The exhibition offers an insight into the artistic work of Silvio Porzionato, curated by Miliza Rodic.
