Celebrations for the fiftieth anniversary of the RAMOGE Agreement for the Protection of the Marine Environment between Italy, France, and the Principality were held in the Principality of Monaco on June 25 and 26. The event was attended by the Ambassador of Italy, Manuela Ruosi, the Undersecretary for the Environment and Energy Security, Senator Claudio Barbaro, and leading Italian and international civilian and military authorities.

The event is part of the strengthening of bilateral dialogue between Italy and the Principality, within the framework of growing attention to Mediterranean protection policies.

During the celebrations, Ambassador Ruosi emphasized the value of the fruitful collaborative relations between the three border countries and their shared commitment to protecting the biodiversity of the Mediterranean Sea, in all its aspects.

The anti-pollution exercise “Ramogepol,” carried out in Monegasque waters with the joint participation of the authorities of the three countries, involved, among others, the Italian Coast Guard vessel “Ubaldo Diciotti” and naval and air vehicles from the three countries.
