The Consulate General of Italy in Melbourne, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute, yesterday brought together representatives from the institutional, business and cultural sectors, as well as the Italian community, for an evening celebrating the values of democracy, freedom and participation.
The presence of the Italian Ambassador to Australia, Nicola Lener, and the Minister for Climate Action, Energy and Resources, Lily D’Ambrosio, representing the Victorian Government, added further prestige to the event, which was further enhanced by a video message from the Premier of Victoria, Jacinta Allan, as evidence of the strength of relations between Italy and Australia and the deep friendship that binds the two countries.
The evening offered guests a unique experience, featuring extraordinary performances by Melbourne Opera and the “Italia è Moda” (Italy is Fashion) project, an engaging immersive journey that transported the audience to the heart of Italian creativity, elegance and innovation.
Through music, culture, technology and design, the event presented a contemporary image of Italy: that of a dynamic, innovative country capable of surprising people with its talent and excellence.
